what a vp pick...

i know the news is old now, but still, for real mccain? such a ridiculous pick for vp. talk about no experience... and it is such a pathetic ploy to go after hillary's people. but knowing the idiots populating middle america, it might just work.

the sweetest tidbit of news about her is that, turns out her 17-year old daughter is 5 months pregnant. WOW. conservative values. and certainly no abortion allowed. that, in addition to her down syndrome child, are just two shining (unfortunate) examples of how the unavailability of abortion can affects individuals. and they are a well off family. p.s. what kind of mother has time to run for vp with a down syndrome infant at home and 4 other kids to worry about?

if she were a democrat, we wouldn't hear the end of the mud slinging attacks about having an underage pregnant daughter, not to mention much much more respectable critique of her policy positions and complete lack of experience. BUT, she is a republican, which means her political enemies have a little too much dignity to stoop that low. but, oh, i wish we had some sort of disownable slimeball to unleash upon her, you know, like the typical republican pundit.

So Palin brought out this news to quell rumors that her daughter is the real mother of her down syndrome child. But, maybe this pregnancy is just a staight lie, and the kid really is her grandchild. This would play out as a sad "miscarriage" for her daughter come december, conveniently past election time and all that media interest jazz. I think full clarity on the truth demands some proof that the daughter is not the mother of the past child (DNA test, perhaps publication of the birth certificate), or some compelling evidence that Palin was actually pregnant while in office. Supposedly she did some fashion mag photo shoot when the down syndrome kid was 5 months in the womb. Also, her water broke, then she immediately thereafter took a 12 hour plane ride, then had the kid. So, questions remain. But, all this stuff is second hand blog entry info, and thus not reliable. It is something to think about though. If she's lying she would definitely get canned as vp candidate, methinks.
